Two women died in a fatal collision that occurred on 101 Freeway in Studio City.
STUDIO CITY: Two Women Dead and Two Men Critically Injured in 101 Freeway Crash

STUDIO CITY, California (February 08, 2017) – A fatal crash occurred on Saturday night, at approximately 7:20 p.m., on the Southbound 101 Freeway and then crashed into a traffic light at W.C. Fields Drive. (map)

A Toyota Sienna minivan crashed through a concrete bridge railing, flew over five lanes of the northbound 101 freeway and landed on the southbound 101 Freeway in the Caheunga Pass. A southbound 2009 Kia sedan collided with the Sienna shortly thereafter. The driver of this sedan was injured. The two women in the minivan died upon impact.

The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
