STUDIO CITY, CALIFORNIA (April 12, 2017) – Three cars were involved in an accident on US Highway 101 on Wednesday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 9:09 am on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway near State Route 134. A blue Mazda 3, a white van, and a blue Toyota Corolla were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The blue Mazda was forced up onto the center divider as a result of the accident, temporarily trapping a woman inside. One of the vehicles also caught on fire as a result of the impact.
Paramedics and fire officials responded to the scene and extinguished the fire, and tended to any injuries sustained in the accident. The incident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
