STRATFORD, CALIFORNIA (April 18, 2017) – Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash on Highway 41 south of Omaha Avenue early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 12:06 a.m., when a gray Ford pickup truck and an SUV struck head-on. The impact caused one of the vehicles to overturn into a canal. One of the occupants in the pickup were pinned inside, according to CHP.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to aid the victims in medical assistance. The north and southbound lanes of Highway 41 were closed to clear the wreckage and debris from the roadway. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accidnet.
