Three People Die in Hit-and-Run Crash near Intersection of Highway 99 at Frontage Road and Moreland Street
STOCKTON, California (December 9, 2016) – Three people died after a hit-and-run crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 99 at Frontage Road and Moreland Street.
Police came upon the accident scene and found an unresponsive bicyclist lying on the road at about 7:40 p.m. on Thursday. The cyclist had been hit by a car according to all the surrounding evidence. The bicyclist victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly after discovering the cyclist, officers saw a 1997 Honda vehicle parked south of Hammer Lane that had sustained massive front end damage.
The driver of the Honda was not seated inside the Honda, however, a deceased man and woman were. Apparently the Honda’s driver had fled the scene of the accident. In addition, The Honda had been stolen from the Stockton area. The Honda driver still has not been found and investigators continually searching for his/her whereabouts.
