STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (December 31, 2016) – According to the Stockton Police Department, a bicyclist was struck and killed by a car on Saturday at the intersection of Eighth Street and Turnpike Road. (map)
The SPD reported that the bicyclist, only identified a Latino male in his 50s, was traveling through the intersection when the vehicle crashed into him around 6:42 p.m. The driver of the vehicle was traveling northbound towards a green light.
The SPD states that the victim was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
