
Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision near Highway 99
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (December 8, 2016) – Three people were killed and a driver is still on the run after a crash Thursday evening near Highway 99 in Stockton, reported KCRA. (map)
The fatal accident occurred at about 7:40 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of 99 Frontage Road and Moreland Street.
An unknown person found an unresponsive bicyclist in the road. The victim had been hit by a car near the intersection of Hwy 99 Frontage Road and Moreland Street.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was later pronounced dead.
Police discovered a 1997 Honda just south of Hammer Lane with major front-end damage. The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene however, two passengers, a man and a woman, were found dead inside the car.
Investigators believe the Honda was responsible for the initial hit-and-run crash, however further details have not been released.
The vehicle was reported stolen out of the Stockton area. The driver’s name or description have not been released.
