“Semi Truck Crash”
FREMONT, INDIANA (August 15, 2017) – A motorist and her three passengers were involved in a collision on northbound Interstate 69 near the State Route 120 Interchange Tuesday afternoon, according to police officials. (map)
The police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:40 p.m. The motorist identified as 53-year-old Deborah Myers, was traveling northbound on Interstate 69 in a 2013 Ford Escape when a semi suddenly slowed down.As Myers adjusted her speed a 2015 Isuzu Box truck driven by 63-year-old Daniel Gardner collided into the Escape causing the vehicle to go down a ditch, according to a Steuben County Sheriff’s Office report.
Myers and passengers 29-year-old Ashley Saterlee, 4-year-old Alaina Saterlee and 3-year-old Blake Saterlee sustained injuries from the crash. The severity of those injuries are unknown. All of the occupants in the Escape were transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne for treatment.
Gardner, the driver of the box truck did not appear to sustain any injuries.
