HAINES, ALASKA (May 27, 2017) – A California man was killed in a small plane crash on Saturday in Haines, Alaska, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened on Saturday, after the twin engine Piper PA-30 took off from an airstrip. Directly after take off, the plane took a hard right turn and stalled before crashing.
29 year old Stanley Su Quoc Nguyen, a passenger in the plane, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Also killed was 29 year old pilot David Kunat. A second passenger, 31 year old Chan Valentine, survived and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The plane crash remains under investigation at this time.
