SPARTANBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA (August 18, 2017) – Two students and a driver were involved in bus accident on Glenn Springs and Whitestone Roads Friday morning, according to Highway Patrol officials. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 6:42 a.m. The driver of the bus crossed the center divider and veered off the roadway and landed in a ravine near a tree, according to a local news source.
Emergency crews were called to the scene. EMS transported two students from Broome High School and the driver of the bus to the hospital as a precaustion.
The severity of their injuries are unknown.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
