“Big Rig Accident”
SOMIS, CALIFORNIA (April 6, 2017) – A semi-truck was involved in a collision on State Route 118 on Thursday, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 9:00 am on the westbound side of State Route 118 near Balcom Canyon Road. A semi truck and a silver sedan described as either a Honda or a Kia were involved in a collision for an unknown reason.
The sedan was reportedly t-boned by the semi-truck, and at least one person sustained injuries in the accident. An ambulance responded to the scene, but the condition of those involved is unknown at this time. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
