SLIDELL, LOUISIANA (December 21, 2016) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on Wednesday night near Front Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:30 pm at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Front Street. A pedestrian identified only as a male was struck by a train in the area for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead by responding medical personnel. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine what happened and why the man was hit.
