SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (October 8, 2017) – Sierra Barber, a mother of two, was tragically killed on Sunday after she was struck by a train, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 5:38 am near Interstate 35 and Walzem Road. Sierra had just moved to San Antonio, and was our celebrating with her boyfriend at a local bar. The boyfriend was reportedly assaulted outside the bar, and was rushed to the hospital. Sierra was somehow left behind. She was reportedly seen on the tracks around 5:38 am, and was hit by a Union Pacific train.
Sierra was tragically pronounced dead as a result of her injuries. Her family is demanding answers, as it is unclear how Sierra got from the bar to the train tracks. The conductor of the train also saw a man walking across a nearby train crossing just before he saw Sierra on the tracks. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
