“Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Fatality”
SHERMAN OAKS, CALIFORNIA (June 21, 2017) – A pedestrian was involved in a a vehicle collision on the eastbound 101 Freeway near Haskell Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The incident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. The initial call was reported as a two-vehicle collision. Immediately after, another report was received by CHP dispatch that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the scene of the collision.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. A Sig-Alert was issued as the transition road to the northbound 405 freeway. It was unclear if the victim was involved in the initial collision.
