SHANDON, CALIFORNIA (April 12, 2017) – Several people were involved in a two-car crash on Highway 46 west of Highway 41 Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. The two vehicles involved were a black Nissan Pathfinder and a grey Toyota Tacoma. Two of the victims involved in the collision sustained moderate injuries. Five other victims refused to be transported to the hospital.
Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene to. The two victims were transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. The identities of the victims were not released. The details of the collision were not available. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause o the accident.
