bicycle-accidentMISSION VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (May 3, 2015) – A 61-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured after he was run over by a vehicle near the Fashion Valley Mall Sunday morning, UT California reported.

As per the article, police Officer Dan Lasher said a 52-year-old driver, making a left from Riverwalk Drive into the Mission Valley mall’s parking lot about 10 a.m. turned too early and drove into an exit lane, hitting cyclist who was leaving the parking lot.

Lasher said the man riding the bicycle was taken to a hospital with brain bleed, broken ribs, fractures to his face and scrapes. He is expected to survive despite his serious injuries, the article included.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident, per UT California.

Authorities will continue investigate to determine liability.

“I wish a swift and steady recovery for the seriously injured cyclist at this time. Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident,”said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a California personal injury law firm.
