The SBPD reported that a van, driven by Shelhorn, was traveling on Westminster Avenue around 1:40 p.m. when she crashed into a pickup truck that crossed over the center median and into oncoming traffic between Seal Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Chica Road.
The SBPD states that a Good Samaritan tried to help Shelhorn out of her vehicle but Shelhorn was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.
“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort the victim’s family and friends as they cope with such an incredible loss,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a California personal injury law firm. “The thoughts and prayers of our staff are with them, as well as the young people who were injured, as they try to piece together what happened.”
