The accident happened around 5:00 am to an area near the Glenville Industrial Park, off of Route 5. A 22 year old man from Mechanicville was working near the train tracks when he slipped on some ice, causing his arm to land across a rail where it was run over by a Pan Am Railway Train.

The man was airlifted to a hospital to Albany Medical Center, and his condition is unknown. The arm was severed below the shoulder, and was rushed to the hospital along with the injured man. The investigation is ongoing into cause and liability.

“Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent party who caused the accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a personal injury law firm.
