SCIOTO COUNTY, OHIO (December 13, 2016) – An adult and a child were badly injured after an accident on Tuesday involving a tractor trailer, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on State Route 74 in West Portsmouth, near the split with 104. A vehicle and a tractor trailer collided for unknown reasons, resulting in serious injuries.

The adult in the vehicle had to be extricated by emergency crews responding to the scene, and both the adult and the child were rushed to a hospital. The child is reportedly in stable condition, and the condition of the adult involved in the accident is unknown. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured in the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
