“Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Collision”
FREMONT, CALIFORNIA (June 15, 2017) – 47-year-old Sara Correa Ojeda was identified as the pedestrian killed in the vehicle collision on Fremont Boulevard between Mowry Avenue and Capital Avenue Wednesday morning, according to the coroner’s office. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. Ojeda was crossing Fremont Boulevard, in a marked crosswalk, when a Ford van, making a right turn out of the parking structure of the Fremont Hub Shopping Center, struck the Ojeda, according to police officials.
Emergency crews were called to the scene. The driver of the Ford van remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. According to police officials, drugs or alcohol do not appear to factors in the collision.
