GARDEN GROVE, CALIFORNIA (October 31, 2017) – Santiago Sanjuan-Mancilla was identified as one of the two men killed in a tragic accident on the 22 Freeway on Monday, October 30th, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 2:00 am on the westbound side of the 22 Freeway near Brookhurst Street. A red SUV was traveling west when it struck the freeway wall for an unknown reason and became disabled. Another driver pulled over to help and got out of their vehicle, and they were then struck by a second car.
Both the driver of the red SUV and the Good Samaritan were tragically killed in the accident. 42 year old Santiago Sanjuan-Mancilla and 19 year old Bryce Campo were identified as the two killed, although it is unknown who was driving the red SUV and who was the Good Samaritan that pulled over to help. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
