One Dead After Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Collision on State Route 79 and Barrett Hill Road

“Fatal Motorcycle Crash”

SANTA YSABEL, CALIFORNIA (January 31, 2016) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on State Route 79 and Barrett Road near Lake Henshaw on Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)

The deadly accident occurred at approximately 10:45 am, when the motorcycle and automobile collided.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike after the collision and shortly after succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash.

Good Samaritans stopped to aid along state Route 79 between Route 79 and Barrett Hill in Santa Ysabel.

Witnesses informed CHP that a pickup truck was parked along side of the road after the crash with the motorcycle.

No injuries were sustained from anyone in the pickup truck.

It was undetermined which way the automobile and motorcycle was traveling or who was at fault in the collision.

“Motorists must be aware of motorcyclists on the road at all times. They may not always appear in rear view mirrors and often end up in blind spots causing drivers to completely miss them, creating potential for a possible accident,” said a spokesperson at Lexton Law Firm.”
