SRPD Sergeant Summer Black reported that a Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Guillory, was traveling southbound on Mountain Hawk Drive around 11:00 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road into a tree.
Sergeant Black states that Kostecka was a passenger of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Guillory sustained minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
“It’s unfortunate that motorists under the influence disregard the negative effects that may ensue from driving under the influence. DUI drivers continue to endanger the safety of everyone,” said a California car accident and wrongful death attorney.
