SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA (August 23 , 2017) – A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed on Pacific Coast Highway on Wednesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 5:10 am in the 1100 block of Pacific Coast Highway. A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle in the westbound lanes.

The pedestrian, identified only as a male, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver that struck the pedestrian was cooperating with authorities in their ongoing investigation at this time.
