SANTA MONICA, CA (February 6, 2017) (Map) – CHP Officers responded to reports that a pedestrian was walking along the highway armed with a knife at about 12:20 a.m., according to The Santa Monica Daily Press.
The male pedestrian apparently refused to follow officers orders when he was asked to put down his knife. He was shot on the spot and later died at a local hospital. The incident is being actively investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
