SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA (March 9, 2017) – Alex Lopez and David Martinez have been identified as two of the three people killed in a collision on Highway 1 on February 28st, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Highway 1 near Wilder Ranch, around 4:30 p.m. the afternoon of February 28th. 19 year old Alex Lopez was behind the wheel of a 2000 Buick Regal that veered into opposing traffic for an unknown reason, colliding head on with a Chevrolet Blazer.

19 year old Alex Lopez, and his front seat passenger, 20 year old David Martinez, were both killed in the collision, as was the 56 year old female driver of the Chevrolet Blazer. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
