“Wrong Way Collision”
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA (January 21, 2017) – At least one person was injured in a wrong way accident on Saturday on Highway 14, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 12:37 am on Highway 14 and Golden Valley Road. An unidentified car was reportedly traveling the wrong way on the highway at a high rate of speed when it crashed on the center divider, rolled several times and went up an embankment. A parked car on the right shoulder and several other cars were hit in the ensuing collision.
Responding authorities found a red SUV and a black Jeep that appeared to be involved in the accident, and a woman in a white Nissan Altima advised that the wrong way driver had hit her head on. The condition of those involved is unknown at this time, and the accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
