The driver fled down El Camino Real before turning onto San Tomas Expressway. The Mustang then rear ended another car at a high rate of speed.
The driver of the mustang attempted to flee on foot and scuffled with officers before being taken into custody. The driver of the vehicle the Mustang struck was taken to the hospital, as well as the driver of the mustang and his passenger. A Santa Clara PD officer also reportedly was injured during the fight. The accident remains under investigation, and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
