SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA (January 13, 2017) – At least one person was killed on Friday morning after a train struck a car near the intersection of Lafayette Street and Agnew Road, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:00 am at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Agnew Road. A Capitol Corridor train struck an unidentified vehicle that was on the tracks for an unknown reason.
At least one person inside the vehicle was killed, and no passengers on board the train reported any injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
