SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA (March 20, 2017) – A truck rollover caused a gas pipeline and a water pipeline to burst on Monday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:50 am in the 500 block of Toro Canyon Road, near Highway 192, on Monday. A construction truck was driving up Toro Canyon Road when it went off the road, clipping a natural gas line and a water line before overturning.
One person inside the truck was injured, and was transported to a local hospital. The other occupant was reportedly uninjured. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
