“Motorcyclist vs. Vehicle Collision”
SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA (April 14, 2017) – A motorcyclist was involved in a vehicle collision on Highway 101 early Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (map)
The incident occurred just before 2:00 a.m. on northbound Highway 101, between Milpas and Laguna Street. The rider was found lying in the roadway while the motorcycle was in the middle lane of the highway, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Jonathan Gutierrez.
Three motorcycles and two vehicles were involved in the collision. One person sustained injuries from the collision, however, the severity of the injuries were not available. The motorcyclist was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Initial reports state that the motorcyclist was hit by a vehicle as he attempted to walk across the road way. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
