SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA (February 28, 2017) – A car accident on Tuesday afternoon on the 101 Highway involved at least four vehicles, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 2:47 pm on the southbound side of the 101 Highway, near Hot Springs Road. A gray Jeep, a blue Mazda, a blue Dodge pickup truck and a gray vehicle of unidentified make and model were involved in an accident for an unknown reason. The impact was severe enough to leave major rear end damage to one car, and debris was scattered throughout lanes.
The condition of those involved in the accident is unknown, but an ambulance was requested to respond to the scene. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
