SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (January 13, 2017) – According to the Santa Ana Police Department, a male motorcyclist was severely injured on Friday in a collision on Warner Avenue and Parton Street. (map)
SAPD Commander Matt Brown reported that an SUV was making a left turn when it crashed into the motorcyclist around 7:45 p.m. The motorcyclist’s left was nearly severed and losing blood. An officer was able to apply a tourniquet until paramedics arrived to transport the man to a hospital.
Commander Brown states that the motorcyclist is in stable condition.
“Motorists must be aware of motorcyclists on the road at all times. They may not always appear in rear view mirrors and often end up in blind spots causing drivers to completely miss them, creating potential for a possible accident,” said a California motorcycle accident and injury lawyer.
