“Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Crash”
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (August 18, 2017) – 34-year-old David Rorex was involved in a vehicle collision on First Street west of Newhope Street, Friday afternoon, according to Fire officials. (map)
Emergency crews arrived on the scene at approximately 11:20 a.m. Rorex was riding a motorcycle traveling westbound on first Street. The driver of an SUV pulled out of the driveway on the 4800 block of First Street. Rorex hit the side of the SUV, according to Santa Ana Police Cmdr. Matt Brown.
Fire officials pronounced Rorex dead at the scene. the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
According to police officials, that drug or alcohol were factors in the collision. An investigation is ongoing.
