SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (September 10, 2017) – A man was killed in a hit and run on Sunday evening on Broadway Street near Borchard Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:50 pm, at the intersection of South Broadway and West Borchard Avenue. A man was reportedly struck by a black pickup truck heading north on Broadway, and the vehicle immediately fled the scene. The pedestrian was then struck by a second vehicle which stopped at the scene on top of the man.
The pedestrian was tragically declared dead as a result of the accident. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, but they are still on the lookout for the first driver. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
