SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (January 5, 2017) – According to the Santa Ana Police Department, 65-year-old Kassim Mohamed Kassim was struck and killed by a truck on Thursday morning at the Warner Avenue and Susan Street crosswalk. (map)
The SAPD reported that a white Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling westbound when it struck Kassim around 5:30 a.m. The weather at the time of the accident was dark and rainy.
The SAPD states that Kassim was in a street lane when authorities arrived at the scene and was transported to UCI Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
