SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (February 5, 2017) – According to the Santa Ana Police Department, a 9-year-old girl was killed on Sunday in a broadside collision in the 2700 block of South Bristol Street. (map)

SAPD Corporal Anthony Bertagna reported that a Honda Civic, driven by the young girl’s father, was traveling on Bristol Street around 11:30 p.m. when a Toyota Camry broadsided the Civic.

Corporal Bertagna stated that the 9-year-old girl was transported to Children’s Hospital of Orange County where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her father and the driver of the other driver of the Camry sustained minor injuries.
