“Fatal victim identified”
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (December 13, 2016) – According to the California Highway Patrol, the person killed in a speeding accident on December 13th has been identified as 24-year-old Matthew Springer. The accident occurred on the northbound 55 Freeway, just north of 17th Street. (map)
The CHP reported that Springer crashed his 2015 Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed into a 2016 Honda Pilot, driven by a 55-year-old Yorba Linda woman. Both vehicles collided with a metal guardrail.
The CHP states that Springer was pronounced dead at the scene while the 55-year-old woman was unhurt.
