The accident happened on Saturday morning, at the Canyon Lakes Golf Course off of Bolinger Canyon Road. A large tree collapsed due to the inclement weather, falling directly onto Deborah McKeown who was standing below it.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and found Deborah McKeown unconscious with multiple injuries. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but she sadly succumbed to her injuries later the same day. Deborah was reportedly a freelance writer and editor that spent a good amount of her time towards volunteering with non-profits.
