Helicopter Crash Reported Off San Pedro Coast
SAN PEDRO, CA — A helicopter crash was reported off the coast of San Pedro last night at approximately 5:40 p.m. next to the harbor breakwater.
Crews from multiple agencies such as the U.S. Coast Guard and the Los Angeles City and County Fire Department began searching for the wreckage immediately after the crash.
At around 7:30 p.m. the crews were unable to locate any aircraft, victim, or debris. According to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, “Los Angeles Fire Department boats are on standby while Port Police establish a search grid.”
More information on the crash will be released as the search continues.
