SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA (April 12, 2017) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a Lexus SUV on Highway 92 on Wednesday evening, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 10:10 pm on Highway 92 near El Camino Real. A white Lexus RX300 struck a pedestrian for an unknown reason in the No.1 and 2 lanes.

The pedestrian, identified only as a male, was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The Lexus remained at the scene and the driver is cooperating with authorities according to the report. The accident remains under active investigation.
