SAN MARCOS, CALIFORNIA (February 25, 2017) – A passenger was killed on Saturday night after a solo vehicle rollover crash on Los Vallecitos Boulevard, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 7:45 p.m. on Los Vallecitos Boulevard near Vallecitos de Oro. A Nissan XTerra driven by a 20-year-old man made an unsafe turn and lost control, causing his vehicle to roll over. His 19 year old passenger was partially ejected during the accident.

The passenger was tragically declared dead as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. Initial reports indicated that the driver was under the influence of marijuana and alcohol at the time of the accident, and was arrested. The accident remains under investigation.
