SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA (April 4, 2017) – A semi truck was involved in a collision with a passenger vehicles on Tuesday on the 880 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 9:56 pm on the southbound side of the 880 Freeway near the 238 connector. A jackknifed semi truck collided with a silver Isuzu Rodeo for unknown reasons.
Two people inside the Isuzu reportedly were trapped and had to be extricated by emergency personnel. At least one person reportedly sustained major injuries in the collision. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
