The accident happened around 7:30 am on Via Pamplona, which is an entrance to a residential development. The 14 year old was struck by a car as he crossed the street towards the school.
The 14 year old was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after the accident. The driver that struck him remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. This is an ongoing investigation, and Lexton Law is still receiving updates.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law, a pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
