Jonathan Ruiz Arrested on Suspicion of Felony Hit-and-Run
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (December 10, 2016) – Police have arrested the individual suspected of driving the vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian early Saturday morning at the intersection of Hedding and 15th Streets. (map)
On December 10th, 2016, San Jose Police responded to a report of a person lying on the road. Investigators believe the victim, whose name has not been released, was in the road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Hedding Street.
San Jose patrol officers Rafael Varela and Frank Montoya are credited with locating Jonathan Ruiz and arresting him on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and various other charges unrelated to the incident.
