1 Dead, 1 Injured in San Jose Collision
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (December 9, 2016) – A teenage boy died and an adult male was injured in a car accident on Monterey Road at Daylight Way on Friday evening, reported Mercury News. (map)
Based on a preliminary investigation, Sergio Ramirez was driving south on Monterey Road around 5:20 p.m. toward Daylight Way. A driver who was traveling eastbound on Daylight tried to turn onto northbound Monterey, and the cars collided.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital. Sadly, Sergio Ramirez succumbed to his injuries. The other driver, an adult male, suffered serious injuries that were considered non-life threatening.
The collision remains under investigation.
