SAN JOSE: Pedestrian Hit and Killed in Car Accident on Tully Road and Galveston Avenue

“Investigation Ongoing”

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (February 21, 2017) – A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed on Tuesday morning on Tully Road and Galveston Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Tully Road and Galveston Avenue. An unidentified pedestrian was struck by a car in the intersection, possibly a black sedan. The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle involved reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities in their ongoing investigation.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
