“Pedestrian Accident”

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (January 18, 2017) – A pedestrian was killed in a deadly accident on Wednesday morning on Hedding Street, according to local news sources. (map)

The accident happened around 7:47 am in the 2000 block of West Hedding Street near Bascom Avenue. A pedestrian identified only as a woman was crossing the street when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle.

The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The driver that struck her remained at the scene, and cooperated with authorities as they conduct their ongoing investigation.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
