SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (March 29, 2017) – A pedestrian was struck by a light rail train at the Santa Clara station on Wednesday, March 29th, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:00 pm at the Santa Clara Station near Santa Clara Street and Second Street. A pedestrian was walking on the platform when he was struck by a southbound train pulling into the station.

The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital, but their current condition is unknown. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
