SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (December 10, 2016) – A pedestrian was killed after they were struck by a hit and run driver on Saturday morning on Hedding Street, according to local news sources. (map)

The accident happened around 3:00 am at the intersection of East Hedding Street and North 15th Street. A pedestrian identified only as a male was walking in the roadway when they were struck by an unidentified car heading east on Hedding Street.

The car that struck by pedestrian immediately fled the scene, and the pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
