California Highway Patrol Investigating Highway 87 Crash
SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (December 10, 2016) – The California Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle collision on the northbound 87 freeway, just south of US-101 on Saturday evening. (map)
According to the CHP report, a black Mini Cooper crashed into another vehicle and flipped, landing on it’s roof.
The California Highway Patrol also reported the driver of the Mini Cooper fled the scene after the crash.
Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene of the crash on State Route 87, near the 101 freeway intersection. The number of people injured has not been disclosed.
The CHP classified the accident as a “hit-and-run incident.” Further details will be provided when they are made available.
